Parents withdraw writ petition in Allahabad High Court in Jaipuria School fee issue

A few parents of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, had filed a petition against the school in the Allahabad High Court. On Monday, the lawyers representing the parents withdrew their petition in front of the HC judge.

The school has been requesting the parents of some students who took admission after the 2018-19 academic session to pay the pending fee. In this matter, the District Fee Regulatory Committee (DFRC) has already dismissed the parents’ complaint and ruled that the fee demanded by the school is justified in a decision released on April 11. Protesting this decision by DFRC, the parents had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court.

The matter was heard on April 21, Monday, in which senior advocates Anurag Khanna, Raghav Dev Garg and Yashvi Agarwal, representing the school, presented the case along with the DFRC decision in favour of the school. The court gave the advocates Amit Kumar Verma and Manvendra Nath Singh, representing the petitioners, to go through the DFRC note, following which the parents decided to withdraw the writ petition.

In the meantime, the school has reached out to the parents, requesting them to discuss the matter and resolve it in an amicable manner.
