Project Management Institute (PMI) appoints Amit Goyal as Regional Managing Director, South Asia

July 4, 2024 – Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading authority for project professionals, announced the appointment of Amit Goyal as Regional Managing Director, South Asia. Amit will be based in New Delhi, India, to further support PMI’s mission of maximizing project success to make a difference in the world.

At PMI, Amit will focus on building a strong and cohesive team dedicated to supporting and growing PMI’s South Asia community. This community includes 11 chapters spread across the region where members can advance career opportunities and work together to drive greater impact.

Amit Goyal previously served as the Country Manager for edX India and has held executive roles at Samsung and other listed companies. He is renowned for spearheading the launch of the world’s cheapest Tablet PC “Aakash,” a project commissioned by the Government of India to bridge the digital divide. Amit’s leadership has consistently driven innovation and access in technology and education, making a positive and lasting impact on both sectors.
