Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission brought together 100 International Musicians from 16 Countries for the ‘One World One Family Music Concert’

Bangalore – 29 July 2024 – The Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission (SMSGHM) hosted the ‘One World One Family Music Concert’ at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli on 25 July 2024, evening. This event celebrated global unity through the universal language of music, featuring musicians from 16 countries. Over 90 international musicians joined hands with more than 100 students from the Sai Symphony Orchestra for a musical evening that was led by Mr Dimitris Lambrianos. Like all the initiatives and events organised by SMSGHM, this concert was free and open to all.

The Sai Symphony Orchestra, renowned as India’s largest orchestra, consists entirely of Indian musicians – school children aged 12 to 22 from rural areas across the nation. These young talents have honed their skills to play a diverse array of instruments from various parts of the world with the proficiency of seasoned professionals. The orchestra features unique instruments representing different musical traditions, showcasing the richness of global musical heritage. Sharing the stage with acclaimed international musicians, these young performers embodied the theme of global harmony. The concert spanned a diverse range of musical genres, including opera, bluegrass, and aboriginal music, with each country performing one to two pieces representative of their culture.

This year’s ‘One World One Family Music Concert’ was the most elaborate version of the event to date, showcasing the world’s diverse musical traditions on a single stage. By bringing together musicians from various cultural backgrounds, SMSGHM highlighted the unifying power of music, reinforcing the mission’s dedication to global harmony and togetherness.
