St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine, Grenada, is now accepting applications from Indian students for its August/September 2025 intake, offering a globally recognized medical education and a pathway to international medical careers.
As the largest provider of doctors into first-year US residencies for 11 consecutive years, SGU placed over 1,035 graduates in residency programs in 2025 alone. The university is responding to the projected global shortfall of 10 million healthcare professionals by 2030, with a strong focus on developing talent in low- and middle-income countries like India.
David Anthonisz, Executive Director of International Student Recruitment, said, “We are proud to welcome Indian students to our Fall cohort and support their journey toward impactful global medical careers.”
SGU offers multiple intakes (January, April, August) and financial aid opportunities, including merit-based scholarships for eligible international students. SGU’s UK pathway, through its partnership with Northumbria University, offers additional flexibility for students wishing to begin their studies in the United Kingdom.
Applications are now open. Interested students can explore programs and scholarship options on SGU’s official website.
